Schauplatz Brunngasse is located in Zurich’s old town in a historic building that was built in the early 14th century by a Jewish family. At the time, the city’s Jewish and Christian residents lived side by side. At the end of the 1990s, interior decorations were uncovered, providing unique testimony to Zurich’s Jewish history. The murals that came to light provide a glimpse into the life of a wealthy Jewish family in the Middle Ages.
